Blue Man Group describes this show perfectly but does not convey how much fun it is to be a part of. Three bald headed blue men perform without speaking however they can still manage to captivate the attention of an audience and communicate with ease. With the use of percussions, narration, music, and gestures they perform comedic skits that are fun and entertaining in the theater that was custom built for the show. It is not that large of a building and most all seats are good seats.
Part rock concert, part dance show, and part comedy all wrapped into a 1 3/4 hour show that pokes fun at our cultural norms.
There is also a certain amount of art (maybe not really art) produced during the show using various body parts, paint, and food. It is hilarious to watch them create the pieces and they are available for purchase at the end of the show.
The first four rows closet to the stage are the most interactive areas. This area is known as the “poncho” section. Guests who purchase tickets in this section get a complimentary plastic poncho to protect their clothing from occasional splashes of materials that may come from the stage. If you sit in these rows, do use the poncho as we saw many of them get splattered.
The premier seating for Blue Man Group is directly behind the poncho section and is where we sat for the performance. We could see and participate during the entire show while staying completely dry.
Ticket prices start at $60 per adult and $30 per child (3-9). The show is not suitable for children under 3. You can enjoy free admission to select CityWalk venues with your ticket stub.
Parking is not included with the ticket. You can park in the Universal Orlando resort parking garage.
There is a Blue Man Group VIP experience ticket for $199 pp that gets you an exclusive behind the scenes tour of the theater and an opportunity to meet with a Blue Man.
