The Official Florida Blueberry Festival is to be held at the brand new Formosa Garden’s Event Center in Kissimmee. This is a new home for the event.
The Official Florida Blueberry Festival was originally started in 2010 in the city of Brooksville in Hernando County. The festival is to benefit and promote the Florida Blueberry Industry. It became too large for the city to deal with and they limited it to only two days. Because of this, the festival was suspended last year while they looked for a new venue to have it in.
This year it is back and better than ever. It will last for four days with different events on each day including live music. Be sure to bring your chairs and blankets to sit on and enjoy the wide variety of music venues.
There will also be a Beer Garden, Wine Bar, and a Festival Fare Food Court. The festival will have exhibitor booth spaces for retail, fine arts, and crafts artisans.
The Blueberry Patch Kids Zone will have
- bungee jumping
- rock climbing
- inflatable bouncers
- various activities for all age kids
Of course, there will be fresh blueberries, as well as blueberry pies, and plants for sale.
