Choosing holiday accommodation is a pretty big deal.  With so many choices, we understand that you will have lots of questions. We put together some of our frequently asked questions.  Please feel free to email us if you have additional questions.


Q: How do I book and pay for my booking?

The short answer is that depends on where your inquiry originated from.

We prefer to take bookings directly as this saves you lots of money in service fees. The other benefit is you have direct access to our phone numbers and email, so if you have a question it can be answered quickly and accurately.

You can book directly with us from our website, Direct Villas Florida, and Florida Rentals by Owners. When booking through these sites, we accept MasterCard, Visa, Discover, and American Express.

The large OTAs (Online Travel Agencies) like HomeAway, Vrbo,, and Trip Advisor all charge guest some type of service fee to use their website. They have very strict rules about only using their forum for conversation and payments. When using these sites, you will make payment directly through their website and they remit a portion to us an the owner of the home after you have checked in.

Q: What is ADW and why do I pay for it.

We collect $50 from each booking to pay an Accidental Damage Waiver premium.  This is a mandatory fee for all guests. It is done instead of collecting/returning a security deposit.  In the case of accidental damage to the home, we file the claim and if approved, we can use the funds needed from the fund to replace the broken item up to $500.

Q: How far are the homes from Walt Disney World?

Our homes are located just outside Walt Disney World. Average times to the main gate on World Drive is about 5-7 minutes.  Allow for additional time depending on which park you are visiting.  Traffic, parking, and crowd levels all add additional time.

Q: Is there parking at the home?

Our homes have free parking available for two vehicles.

Q: How far is the airport?

The airport is about 25 miles.  We find that using route 417 is the best way to travel.

Q: Will there be towels/a hairdryer/iron & ironing board in the home?

Yes to all of the above!  See the amenity lists on our website for each particular home.

Q: Do you have WiFi?

Yes, both homes have unlimited high-speed WiFi internet included in the price.

Q: What time is check in and check out?

Check-in is after 4 PM and check-out is before 10 AM. We can sometimes offer late check-out or early check-in depending on our other bookings.  This must be done in advance.

Q: How do we get into the home?

About three weeks prior to your stay, we will email you an Arrival Guide that has been prepared specifically for your stay. In this Arrival Guide, you will get the credentials you need to gain access to the resort.  You will travel directly to the home as we use a keyless entry system.  Your code for the keyless lock is included in the Arrival guide.
