Gatorland Orlando: A Classic Florida Wildlife Park

Gatorland may call itself a theme park, but it feels just as much like a zoo and wildlife preserve. Home to thousands of alligators — including rare white leucistic gators — this iconic Orlando attraction offers a uniquely Florida experience you won’t find at the larger theme parks.

Opened in 1949 as a roadside attraction, Gatorland has retained its old-Florida charm. It’s smaller, quieter, and more relaxed than Disney or Universal, which is part of what makes it so appealing. That said, it’s far from boring. Between animal exhibits, live shows, swamp boardwalks, and adrenaline attractions, there’s plenty to do for all ages.
